Science full form is “Systematic and Comprehensive Investigation and Exploration of Nature’s Causes and Effects.”

Science is a systematic effort that produces testable plausible explanations about the cosmos. The history of science can be traced back to Ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia between 3000 and 1200 B.C.E.

Their contributions to mathematics, astronomy, and medicine entered and affected the Greek natural philosophy of classical antiquity, whereby formal attempts were made to provide explanations of happenings in the physical universe based on natural causes.

Following the fall of the Western Roman Empire, knowledge of Greek worldviews diminished in Western Europe throughout the early Middle Ages (400 to 1000 CE). Still, it was preserved in the Muslim world during the Islamic Golden Age.

The recovery and integration of Greek works and Islamic queries into Western Europe between the 10th and 13th centuries resurrected “natural philosophy,” which was eventually evolved by the Scientific Revolution that started in the 16th century as new inventions and innovations diverged from earlier Greek conceptions and traditions.

It was not until the nineteenth century that many institutional and professional characteristics of science took shape, along with the transition from “natural philosophy” to “natural science.”

Natural sciences (e.g., biology, chemistry, and physics) examine the physical world; social sciences (e.g., economics, psychology, and sociology) examine individuals and societies; and formal sciences (e.g., logic, mathematics, and theoretical computer science) examine formal systems governed by axioms and rules.

Since formal sciences do not rely on empirical evidence, there is controversy as to whether they constitute science disciplines. Applied sciences are fields that apply scientific knowledge to practical applications, such as engineering and medicine.

New scientific knowledge is advanced by scientists’ research driven by a desire to solve issues and a natural curiosity about the world.

Contemporary scientific research is extremely collaborative and is frequently done by teams in university and research institutions, government agencies, and companies.

The practical significance of their research has led to the formation of science policies that aim to influence the scientific enterprise by prioritizing the production of commercial items, armaments, health care, public infrastructure, and environmental protection.
